The Jug & Glass sits beside the stream in Nether Langwith, a picturesque rural village situated on the Nottinghamshire side of the border with Derbyshire. Within easy reach of the legendary Sherwood Forest, home of Robin Hood, with its visitor centre, the Major Oak and miles of woodland walks and cycle routes. Equally easy to reach is the Derbyshire Peak District, and the towns of Matlock, Bakewell and Buxton.


England's heritage is no more evident than here. Visit nearby Chatsworth House, Bolsover Castle, Newstead Abbey, Rufford Abbey and Hardwick Hall all within half an hour of the Jug and Glass. Closer to home and within walking/cycling distance is Whaley Thornes Visitor Centre and the Bygone Age Museum, with Creswell Crags just a little further up the road.

For shopping, the cities of Nottingham and Sheffield, are approx 20 miles and within 7 miles are the market towns of Worksop, Chesterfield and of course Mansfield, famous for having one of the largest open air markets in the UK.
